CASE #020: The MindGym Experience Part 1
If you are looking for a review center that would prepare you for the upcoming LET, then I would highly recommend MindGym Review Center. They specialize in LET review which covers refresher lessons in General Education, your field of Specialization and Professional Education.
Hindi ito paid advertisement. It just so happen na isa ako sa mga successful and proud alumnus ng MindGym and this is my little way of showing how thankful I am to them.
Nagwo-work pa ako that time sa BPO company at night shift ako parati so I don't think kakayanin ko magreview.
I tried looking into their website and their Facebook page to research. Maraming testimonials din from LET passers and alumni of MindGym.
Marami silang programs. Meron silang online program, meron naman iyong three-day power coaching lang two weeks before the actual examination day, meron naman iyong specialization mo lang.

Online Review
At first, I wanted to avail of their online review program.
Interesting sa akin iyon since I am working and medyo time ang problema ko.
Ang downside lang na nakikita ko rito is that I tend to procrastinate. Medyo may ganun akong habit. I might end up wasting what I have paid for kung tatamarin lang ako at mas malaki ang possibility na tamarin ako since nasa bahay lang ako. After work kasi, para na akong hinihila ng kama. Wala na akong gustong gawin kundi humiga at mag-internet.
On-site Review
Meron kasing dalawang schedule at program for on-site review.
Kaya the next logical thing to do is to take the weekend program. Pumayag naman si Hubby kahit ang kapalit noon ay hindi na talaga kami magkikita for the next two months or so. Day shift kasi ang work ni Hubby. Night shift naman ako. Weekends pareho ang off namin kaya iyon lang ang time namin together.
Pero dahil I opted to take the on-site review, ayun. Wala na halos kaming time magkita.
How to register?
STEP 1: Go to their office.
MindGym is located at 219 JP Rizal Street, Project 4, Quezon City.
Kung galing ka sa North or South of Metro Manila, the quickest way would be to take the MRT and get off at Araneta-Cubao Station. From there, you can walk towards Telus in Araneta Center kung saan may mga terminal ng jeep and look for jeepneys na biyaheng 20th Ave-Project 4 Pelaez.
Or from Cubao, you can ride jeep or FX going to Cogeo, Masinag, Sta. Lucia, SSS, or Montalban along Aurora Blvd. Fare would be around Php 8.00 sa jeep or Php15-25.00 for FX (depende sa driver). After that, you have two options:
- Option 1: Baba ka ng Hi-Top (also along Aurora Blvd. after LRT Anonas Station) and ride a tricycle going to Mindym. Fare would be around Php20-30.00 (depende ulit sa driver). Medyo malayo rin kasi from Hi-Top.
May stoplight din at intersection doon so you will notice it at once. Nasa right side ang Caltex and bago ito dumating ng Katipunan. Kahilera ito ng Church of Latter-Day Saints. Take those jeepneys na nakapila sa Caltex. Fare is Php8.00.
You may check their contact us site for further commuting instruction.
Pero if nakakaluwag-luwag ka naman sa buhay at afford mo mag-Grab. You can book a car or a shared ride directly to MindGym. Napi-pin naman ang location nila.
You may also opt to take the cab.
STEP 2: Present the requirements.
Pagpunta mo ng MingGym bring a copy of your NOA, 1x1 recent ID picture, and your payment.
If you do not have your NOA yet, pwedeng to follow. Explain mo na lang sa kanila that you have yet to apply. Photocopy lang naman ang kailangan nila. They need it to know kung anong specialization ang inapprove sa iyo ng PRC.
Kasi binebase nila iyon sa transcript of records mo. Lalo na for unit takers.
Kaya huwag magmarunong.
Another reason na importanteng magsubmit ka ng copy ng NOA mo sa MindGym is in case mawala mo ang original na NOA mo, you can ask them for a copy later. They were a lifesaver for some of my batchmates who lost their NOA.
STEP 3: Fill out the form and take the Diagnostic Test.
Yes, you heard it right. May exam. Kaya magdala ng lapis, ballpen, at calculator. After mo ma-fill out ang reviewee's form that would require some important information about you, mag-eexam ka na.
Kaya mas maganda if you will allot at least half of your day for registration. The exam would take 4-5 hours depende kung gaano ka kabilis sumagot. Pero kung medyo nagmamadali ka, you may ask them to reschedule the exam on another day na available ka na. Kaya lang kung gusto mo makatipid ng pamasahe, it would be best if you finish it within the day na lang din.
Covered ng exam ang General Education, Professional Education, at Specialization. Para ka na ring nag-LET exam. Don't worry. This is for diagnostic purposes only. Baseline reference lang ito kung how far away are you from passing the LET. Para alam mo kung how much work would need to be done.
Actually, kapag nga mataas ang nakuha mong grade sa diagnostic test, MindGym would even advice you to just take the three-day Power Coaching or to not take the review program at all. Magself review na lang. Kahit pa sabihing they will lose business on you, ayaw naman nilang i-take advantage ka. Malaki naman na kasing potential mo to pass even without the review. Atsaka they have limited slots per review class so might as well give that slot to someone who truly needs it.
Meron akong ganyang batchmates. Pero they still opted to push through with the review program. Mas gusto pa rin nila magreview. In fact, isa sa ka-batch ko na iyon nag-top pa sa LET.
STEP 3: Pay the registration fee.
The 18-day review and training costs Php8,500 pesos which includes modules for General Education, Professional Education, and Specialization. Yes, they have separate modules for all areas.
Kasama na rin dito ang three-day power coaching session two-weeks before the actual exam. Meron ding mock exam kung saan may simulation ng totoong LET na magaganap just to give you the feel of what can happen on exam day. The scores will also be posted to see if ready ka na talaga sa LET. This serves as their post test where you can compare your scores from your diagnostic test to this mock exam.
Payments can be made on-site sa office nila on the day of your registration. Pwede rin naman through other payment channels.
Believe me, very understanding ang mga taga-MindGym. Iyon pa isang nagustuhan ko sa kanila. Mababait lahat ang staff nila. Maski ang founders na sina Coach Alice and Coach Albert.
