CASE #03 | JaDine Fan

In fairness, may chemistry.

Pero dahil sa "On the Wings of Love," minahal ko sila.

I know maraming bashers at maraming kritiko sila ngayon. Maybe because they broke all the conventions of what a Pinoy loveteam is supposed to be.

They decided to be real and were not afraid to declare their love for each other. Remember James' "I love you" moment in Araneta that confirmed everybody's wild guess about the status of their relationship.

At kahit pa sabihin ng marami na hindi rin sila magtatagal at para lang sa "promo" ang pag-amin nila, they were still going strong as ever. Pero sa kabila noon, they continued to grow and innovate themselves. They strived to offer more to their audience. Hindi man sila biritero or biritera as what is expected of Pinoy singers, they have created their own music genre that captured the hearts of millenials.

Dahil ang kinuhang target market nila ay ang mga millenials who spent most of their time in social media networks. They related to those "hugot" "selfie" and "hashtag" generation. The game-changing formula worked to their advantage.

I do have my disagreements with their lifestyle as well.

Pero at the end of the day, they were still human beings who have the freedom to choose their own lives. They may be public figures but they were humans who can make mistakes and who can have their own opinions. At isa pa, James, grew up in a different country with a totally different culture from ours. We can't expect him to fit into the mold of our typical Pinoy values. He was brought up with an entirely different set of values. The effort he showed to thrive in this industry is truly remarkable.

Marami rin sigurong mamba-bash sa akin through this blog. Pero walang basagan ng trip. Fan ako nila and I enjoy watching them. Yun lang.
